Your First Visit.

  • Welcome!

Upon arrival you will be warmly greeted by one of our amazing front desk staff, who help you through our computerized kiosk. They then will take you to the Exam Room where we perform a high tech scan that allows us to measure the amount of stress on your central nervous system. This test is the foundation of our exam. Next, the doctor will meet with you to begin the consultation and continue with the exam, which incorporates many aspects, but with three main categories.

First our doctors will go over an extensive history with you in regards to your current and past health challenges, if any.

Second, we will spend time explaining how chiropractic wellness care works, and specifically how things are done in our office. We strongly feel that the more we know about you, and the more you know about us, the more we can help, and that is our primary mission.

The third component is likely the most important, and is begun once the consultation is done. This component is our comprehensive examination. The exam done at our office is thorough allowing us to figure out exactly what is going on with your health, and what the true cause of your challenges are.

The major emphasis of our initial exam is to evaluate your spine and central nervous system, determine how it is functioning, and find where the stress and challenges are that will need to be addressed.

Insight Nerve Scan, X-rays, Blood Work, Urine pH and other tests can be done here at our office and will be determined by the doctor. A treatment plan will be discussed and we will decide the best strategy to get you closer to your health goals and answer any of your questions. A second visit is sometimes needed to give us time to review your case. Once you understand and you decide to go through with care you will then get your first adjustment

This first day is very comprehensive, but should still be finished in about an hour.

  • The 3 Stages of Care.

Crisis Care: This is a common reason why a person will come to our office. Some area of your health has been effected, whether it is a diagnosis, an ache or pain, or some sort of sickness. The goal of crisis care is to give you relief and put some stability back in your nerve system. If the cause of your health problem is because the nerve system is not communicating properly, then adjusting subluxations (nerve disturbance) will help your body regain health again. We will find out if this is what is going on with you on your initial visit. The frequency of visits during this phase is quite often because training your body to do something different takes time, repetition and commitment. This would be similar to working out at the gym. Going 1x a month isn't very helpful for getting in shape. However, if you go 3 times a week, then you will likely reach your goal. The better you follow through with the recommendations the better your results will be.

Critical Transition: After Crisis Care you will have a choice whether to make the critical transition. This will correct the reason your body broke down in the first place. The goal of this type of care is to rehabilitate and regenerate the area of the nerve system that was damaged.A big misconception about chiropractic is that chiropractors are neck and back pain doctors. Though some chiropractors do focus on that aspect of care, this can be a dangerous belief. Chiropractic corrects the cause of your health issues by correcting what is interfering with your body's ability to heal. If you are suffering from symptoms, like pain or headaches or bowel problems, there is a question you need to ask: Why is that symptom there? Chiropractic will find what is interfering with your body and correct it. The actual healing is done by your body - just like your finger would if you cut it.The dangerous part is stopping care when the pain or symptom starts to get better. If you stop care before the nerve interference (subluxation) is totally corrected, the symptom will most likely come back, more intense, and take longer to fix. A good analogy would be if you had the "service engine" light come on in your car and covered up the light with a piece of tape so you wouldn't see it any more. It doesn't change the fact that your engine has something wrong with it. We'll encourage you to make the critical transition and will monitor your results with our space age technologyalong the way.

Lifestyle Care: Once we get your nervous system balanced, it is important that we keep it that way. This stage of care is what most patients understand to be the most important. Periodic checkups are imperative to keep subluxations of the nervous system from deteriorating your health - it's what most of our patients do! Depending on how stressful your lifestyle is, determines how often you should get checked. Typically every few weeks is a good time frame, just as you would go to a dentist to check for cavity's every 6 months. However, everyone is different so your doctor will determine your suggested frequency. Our main goal as chiropractors is to remove nerve interference (subluxations) in patients' nervous systems so that their bodies function as close to 100% as possible. The other goal is to coach you on how lifestyle choices are the cause of these interferences. This way you quit recreating these problems over and over again. The three things that cause subluxations are physical (traumas), chemical (toxins), and emotional (thoughts) stresses. Well nobody can do all these things perfectly; we are human. However, the more we make the right choices and follow the "Six Essentials." correctly, the healthier we are and ultimately the better quality of lives we live!

This is why chiropractic is part of a healthy lifestyle. When you get your nervous system checked by a chiropractor on a regular basis, your body can stay functioning at a high level. That is the true meaning of health! Your job is to minimize the amount of negative stress you expose to your body between adjustments.
